SZIMPATIKUS: CABINET OF CURIOSITIES
SZIMPATIKUS is a wine bar located in Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong. We proposed a new brand identity for the overall space to gain credibility as a specialty shop that understands and enjoys wine culture beyond the existing consumer perception that it is a restaurant where wine is served at a low price. SZIMPATIKUS’s graphic motif is “WUNDERKAMMER, a room of amazing things,” which means a collection that reflects one’s own taste. We developed a logo system that follows the grid of the cabinets. The illustration system that implicitly shows SZIMPATIKUS’s worldview is designed using Gestalt shapes, conveying the message that everyday moments encountered here can become creative inspiration.
