This project involved the overall concept and composition of a photo book containing still cuts from director Park Chan Wook’s film The Handmaiden, as well as photo retouching. The cover design of this book has two versions each for the main characters, Sook-hee and Hideko. The book’s editing structure follows the same structure as the movie, which is divided into three parts. Part 1 is arranged with still photos in the order of the movie flow so that you can closely experience the moments of “The Handmaiden”. Part 2 consists of behind-the-scenes photos of “The Handmaiden”. Lastly, Part 3 contains a conversation between director Park Chan Wook and photographer Lee Jae-hyuk, and a photo book review essay.
